Bill Swiper — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the independent developer of Bill Swiper (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Bill Swiper mobile application (the “App”). By installing or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the App.

2. What the App does

Bill Swiper helps you photograph a restaurant bill, automatically recognise the ordered items and prices, assign them to guests with a swipe, and see how much each person owes. The App is a convenience and informational tool only.

No accuracy guarantee. Recognition uses automated OCR/AI and may be incomplete or wrong (e.g. misread items, prices, quantities, currency, or totals). You are responsible for checking the results before relying on them. We are not a party to, and not responsible for, any payment, debt, or dispute between you and other people. Bill Swiper does not process payments between guests and is not a money-transfer or financial service.

3. Your responsibilities

Use the App lawfully and only for bills you are entitled to photograph.
Do not misuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to bypass usage limits or security of the App.
Do not upload illegal content or content infringing others’ rights.

4. Pro purchase

Bill Swiper Pro is a one-time purchase (non-consumable, lifetime) that removes the free-tier limits and ads. It is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.
The price shown is set and charged by Apple App Store or Google Play in your local currency; taxes may apply. Purchases are processed by the stores and managed via RevenueCat.
You can restore a previous purchase on a new device via “Restore purchases”.
Refunds are handled under the policies of the store you bought from (Apple / Google Play). We generally cannot issue store refunds directly.
EU/UK right of withdrawal: digital content is delivered immediately; by purchasing you request immediate delivery and acknowledge you may lose the 14-day withdrawal right once access is granted, to the extent permitted by law.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its design, code, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use. Dish icons/emoji and store assets remain the property of their respective owners.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from incorrect recognition, miscalculation, or disputes between users. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim (which may be zero for free users). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including your mandatory statutory consumer rights).

8. Changes & termination

We may modify or discontinue the App or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified in the App. We may suspend access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Israel, unless local law grants you the right to your local courts.
